Surah Ash Shura Ayat 114 Tafseer

Para 19 - وَ قَالَ الَّذِیْنَ

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

26.114-116

وَ مَاۤ اَنَا بِطَارِدِ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَۚ (114) اِنْ اَنَا اِلَّا نَذِیْرٌ مُّبِیْنٌﭤ(115) قَالُوْا لَىٕنْ لَّمْ تَنْتَهِ یٰنُوْحُ لَتَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الْمَرْجُوْمِیْنَﭤ(116)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

English translation of Kanz-ul-Irfan

And I am not one who drives away the believers.[1] I am but a clear warner.” They said, “If you do not refrain, O Nūḥ, you will most definitely become among those who are stoned.”

Commentary

The disbelievers demanded for the poor believers to be removed from the gathering. This was not accepted by Prophet Nūḥ عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام. He عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام made it clear that he عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام would not distance himself from the poor believers so that the disbelievers embrace faith. From this, we learn that sitting with the less fortunate and bringing joy to them is a sunnah of the noble Prophets عَـلَيْـهِمُ الـسَّـلَام. It is stated in a hadith: “˹If you wish to find me,˺ seek me among your weak and poor people, for you are granted sustenance and helped by means of the weak and poor. (Sunan Al-Tirmidhī: 1708)
